In our industry, summer is a busy time of year as we are knee-deep in baubles and tinsel (not that you would find any tinsel on my shoots!) This year was no exception and has been one of the busiest I can remember.
Dulux COTY 2022 began early Summer, then we moved on to Next Home, and most recently, art directing for Gate films and Joe Swash. Celebrity, Joe Swash, teamed up with Studio.co.uk to film a series of tv commercials for ITV. My role for the commercial was Art Director. That’s why I love my job; I can transition from stills through to filming. Stills are a set of styled images that might appear in a magazine and film is online or TV commercials.
People often ask me why I don’t venture into Interior Design, the answer is that I love being on set. The excitement of the camera, working with other creatives and seeing the finished result is so fulfilling. Something that I am truly grateful for. This is why I never take my job for granted or become complacent. I always want to grow and feel challenged.
