Styling a brochure for Next Home

It’s been a great year for Pippa Jameson Interiors and I feel blessed to have a job that I absolutely love! I know I moan (to myself) about the intensity of large projects, endless propping, production and utter exhaustion after a shoot, but when you see the work published, it makes it all worth while.  I have to mention my trusty assistant Andrea, who is indeed going solo soon :(  so please do check out her fab website.

This week has been extra special, I have had 5 whole days in the office to catch up on blogging and endless admin! Below are some of my styled images from a Next catalogue I styled earlier in the year with the lovely Jo Henderson.

This is a simple and affordable furniture collection that would work in an adult or childs room. Wood-clad walls are a great way to add texture and interest to a room and much like old paint trends, a feature wall works best, any more than this and it might be a little over-bearing (unless you are going for a log cabin feel). Other ideas are to opt standard planks and run them either horizontally or vertically.  Keep the wood pale in colour –  lime washed oak is a great tone.

Deep velvet sofa sat against a rich grey panelled wall. Next homeware styled by Pippa Jameson and photographed by Jo Henderson.

I am so in love with this velvet sofa from Next!  My advice would be to combine it with a deep grey paint colour just like above, if you are feeling brave enough then you could go for a deeper blue on the wall or even a blush pink.  Check out my colour combo Pinterest board for some inspiration.

Faded linen bedding on a button-back headboard against a wood-clad wall. Next homeware styled by Pippa Jameson and photographed by Jo Henderson.

I’m not usually a fan of overly ornate beds but I really like this style from Next.  The button-back headboard adds just enough interest without being too fussy.
Scandi style furniture against a deep green Farrow & Ball wall. Next homeware styled by Pippa Jameson and photographed by Jo Henderson.

Next have got this furniture range just right, made from a beautifully blonde wood, the simplistic Scandinavian style looks so pretty when placed against a bluey/green backdrop.
