I had the incredible opportunity of Interior Styling for Beards & Daisies to bring their vision to life at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show’s Houseplant Studios. As an integral part of the team, I was responsible for propping and styling the event, ensuring that the Plant School’s concept resonated with visitors and created a captivating experience.

Beards & Daisies, with their commitment to greenery and sustainability, created the Plant School with a mission to educate children on the importance of protecting our planet. Led by the esteemed headteacher, Sir David Attenborough, the Plant School aimed to inspire young minds through a curriculum focused on biodiversity, growing produce, and fostering a love for the environment.
Drawing inspiration from nostalgic 80s and 90s primary schools, the Plant School’s design featured elements such as a traditional blackboard and wooden desks. However, it also provided a glimpse into the future of education with innovative ideas on how schools might operate in a more sustainable and eco-conscious manner.
One of the highlights of the Plant School was the abundance of plants carefully integrated into the space to educate, inspire, and nourish the students. From a vertical vegetable patch to a propagation station, every corner was thoughtfully curated to instil a sense of energy and empower the students to make small changes that would contribute to a greener future. I had the opportunity to come back on press day to see our hard work being enjoyed by the press and media.

I ditched my scruffy styling clothes and popped on something a little more stylish for press day…

Having the opportunity to work with Beards and Daisies at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show was amazing; winning the Silver Gilt Prize was the icing on the cake!
