Guest speaker in Amsterdam and styling a book

Hello everyone, I thought I would write a little update of the last few months as it’s been a while since my last styling diary entry. Thank you to Clare who flew to Geneva for me on a VERY last minute booking for a private jet company, it was a mad rush to call in all props (thank you Emily) but as far as I’m aware, the client is very happy and the shots look lovely.  We have finished shooting ‘Cook on a Shoestring by the very talented Sophie Wright‘.  I’m dying to show you some of the images from the shoot but I’m afraid it will have to wait until its released in October.  The styling was so much fun, and with a team of  5 women we had quite a few giggles!  Jemma Watts was the photographer and so we were based at her  London Fields studio for 3 weeks, a great team and a great job. Below are a few pictures of my props area at the studio.

After this, we were straight onto the Adsa Look Book.  It was a full on week with many shots to get through but again, we had such a great team and more laughs which helped us along the way.  Jon Day was the photographer, and as always he produced some gorgeous shots.  Below are a few pictures from behind the scenes at the shoot, including Lucy and the locations dog, Hector (everyone wanted to take him home!)

A few days after Asda finished, I flew to Amsterdam as a guest speaker for the 2012 Meet The Bloggers (may I point out that I was up at 4am for my flight, and then had to go straight to the venue to do the talk – I am pretty broken at this stage!) Now in it’s second year, the sell out event is the brainchild of Tulipa Media, the aim is for bloggers from all over Europe to meet and take part in a day of workshops and listen to key speakers inspiring and educating them about blogging. I was extremely flattered to be invited to tell my story and hold a workshop on Blog Styling including layout, content and reaching your audience.  Frida Ramstedt was the first speaker, talking about how blogging has made her a millionaire (lots of advice can be found on the Meet The Bloggers website about this, including her top 10 tips) Also speaking at the event was the simply gorgeous Yvonne Eijkenduijn, who talked about products and blog styling/photography. And finally there was the lovely Danielle de Lange from The Style Files, who joined the three of us in a panel discussion. Everyone that I met was so friendly and full of enthusiasm; it was an amazing experience.
Last week we were shooting a Halloween feature for Pippa Jameson Interiors and 3M, this isn’t due to be published until September and so I can only show a few sneaky pics…
