It has been a busy start to 2018 for Pippa Jameson Interiors, and we have been lucky to have worked on some really great projects. Most recently was the Winter Olympics with DFS, one of the official sponsors for team GB, who asked us to design and style a Ski-chalet for the Team GB kitting out, a 3 day event where Olympians get their kit for Pyeongchang. Well-known You Tuber, Thomas Gray, then used the chalet set to interview the Olympians in a series called Steep & Chill.
Our set design incorporated key chalet style pieces with stylish DFS sofa’s including the Marl and Zinc Cuddler, in addition to this, we added lots of key chalet style accessories for extra cosiness and comfort. My fab set builder, Rich from Perspective Productions, put together a visual of the walls and dimensions and then I dropped all of my products into place, a process that I go through for every job. The images below show the mock-up, then my finished styled set. I have to admit, I love jobs like this as it ticks all the boxes; the brief was challenging, fun and creative, I had the opportunity to be part of something really big and the client is great. Bizarrely, my company worked on one of the pitch videos for Pyeongchang and New Moon productions back in 2012, funny how things come back around.
Below is Episode 1 of the series featuring my set and the very talented Elise Christie. I feel so gutted for Elise not achieving her wish to bring home a medal but I am sure she will come back fighting for Beijing 2022 winter olympics.
